Santa Claus Kingdom
Run by the people who bring us Divertiland in the summer, Santa Claus Kingdom should be on your the list of ‘things to do’ for families in Bucharest. With the largest indoor ski slope in the city, as well as Santa himself you can understand why people visit.
Other attractions there include a carosel, inner tube slide, train ride, karting track, trampoline, inflatable games and wall climbing. The cafe serves simple food quickly and is reasonably priced.

We originally took our 2 children (ages 3 and 1) to Santa Claus Kingdom as a bit of an experiment – we weren’t really sure what to expect, but both they and we loved it. We arrived dead on opening time, but needed to wait a couple of minutes while they opened up the ticket office. However, once inside we found it to be really well presented and enormous fun. We went again between Christmas and New Year and, although it was busier than our first visit, there was still plenty of space and we didn’t need to queue for anything other than the ski slope doughnuts (and even then we only needed to wait for a minute or two before one became available). Highly recommended.
My first impression was that this airport hanger type play area would be a let down compared to the glossy photos online. However I was totally wrong. My kids (5, 3 and 1) loved it. They ran from one thing to another (the carousel, trains, bouncy castles, ski slopes etc) with pure delight. You pay one price and that gives you access to unlimited rides. Please note it is not where divertiland water park is, it is the site of the divertiland playland in pipera. (I think this used to be where the water park was before they moved it).
