Oraselul Cunoasterii is the hands on science museum in Bucharest where “the most important law of science is play!” Learning through play is incredibly valuable for kids and the museum offers a family-friendly opportunity to do just that. Oraselul Cunoasterii not only offers opportunities to learn in an interactive way, but they actively encourage parents to participate alongside their kids and the staff there. We visited the museum yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Our 2 year old daughter really enjoyed it. The activities on offer are accessible for a range of age groups. Our daughter especially liked the various ball activities as well as the large wooden puzzles. For older children there are activities focussing on magnetism, reflex/reaction speed, mirrors and lots more, definitely lots to entertain a curious mind! Unfortunately our daughter wasn’t feeling very well so our visit was cut short before we could check out the water area.
It was a nice place to visit with kids, we stayed there around 3 hours with my 5 and 7 years old kids. It was very cold inside, though, so get dressed well.
This is great! Hands on science museum with a small maze in the garden. A few different rooms including water area. There’s a play room for toddlers and an outside area. I would say there’s something for all children up to at least 10 years old but I would definitely take the 3-7 age range. There are a few snacks and drinks now but no cafe.
I liked this place, ideal for an indoor activity. They let the kids touch and try things. there are no beverages or food available so bring snacks.
