Grand Cafe Van Gogh
From the street it looks like just another cafe in Lipscani, but Cafe Van Gogh turns out to be more kid-friendly than most. The first floor of the cafe is non-smoking and they have a Kid’s Corner for your kids to play in. As well as the standard menu, they have a brunch menu for the weekends (including a Kid’s brunch menu). They sometimes run a ‘free kids brunch’ offer at the weekends too.

We had a great brunch here one weekend. We were six kids and four adults and reserved one of the rooms upstairs which meant we had a lovely huge table and space to ourselves which was perfect. The free kids brunch at the weekend made it amazing value and we all ate very well!
Great menu…. and nicely situated in the pedestrian street…. so kids can also walk a little bit freely around the tables etc.
Great lunch type food, upstairs non smoking, good range of drinks, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, child friendly but opens late, can be booked out for functions. Does a disgusting hot chocolate – useful child bribery if shopping or looking around tourist attractions is on the cards!
Earlier this week we popped into the Van Gogh to avoid the down pour of rain during a walk through Lipscani. I was interested in the kid’s corner and if it was appropriate for my one year old daughter but it’s only available for use at the weekend. However, the waitress was really sweet and brought over a selection of toys for my daughter to play with. The food was good quality and the service was friendly and efficient. High chairs are readily available, it appeared that space for push chairs was limited.
