Therme
Therme is the newest pool to open near Bucharest, but it isn’t simply a pool. The waters are a constant 30c and are thermally heated underground making it a thermal spa offering relaxation and luxury treatments as well as water slides for the young and young at heart. Therme is north of Otopeni and offers a range of packages for families.

We thoroughly enjoyed therme with a 5, 3 and 1 year old. There are a couple of smaller slides which the older 2 loved and I was allowed to take the 5 year old down some of the bigger slides (supposedly for 8 year olds and older) if she went with me. The galaxy zone for kids will benefit in the summer from a new outdoor pool they are building. Currently there is not an ideal place to swim for young kids who are new to swimming as the wave pool has quite a strong pull. Although there is a shallow paddling pool for really little ones where I noticed a handy changing/ feeding room. Also babies are allowed in the main palm zone surprisingly which is arguably the best part of Therme.
I went with my 3 smaller kids (2,4,7). You need to go early if you plan to go in the morning on a weekend – else you end up in the queue for up to an hour while you wait for people to exit (one in one out). This is for the kids area, which does get pretty crowded. Overall, well planned and nice changing facilities and lockers. Area for the kids is great, but not too many slides for the younger kids – they have age limits for all the slides, so I think the big slides are 10 years old at least (we didn’t make it past the 6 year old slides as the next ones are for 8 and up). The bigger slides looked great though. We found 3.5 hours was plenty of time – the kids wouldn’t have lasted longer. Overall – pretty good value for money for slightly older kids and a nice alternative to play centres!
Everybody is excited about this place so we have asked around
so here some tips,
dont pay for full day in advanced you may find that after some hours its enough at least for frist trial
pay for some hours and if you want to stay longer then you pay for the extra time,
this way you can experience the place and then decide if you want to come for a full day at a full rate
pools and areas are good, but remember kids are allowed only in one area so if you are planing to go to the more relaxed part have in mind the kids are not allowed there.
there is a smaller pool for small babies
it gets very croweded in the weekend so with kids who dont feel comfortable with long crowds better to go on a week day
restaurant food is available and drinks
overall average opinion
clean yes
save yes and many live guards
nice yes
observation not enough toilets, and few hair dryers, considering place has capacity for 6000 people
