Ikea
Ikea is at the Baneasa Mall in the North of Bucharest. As well as offering good design and affordable prices, Ikea can be a good place to play if you are out with kids.
In the kids section of the store you can not only buy furniture for bedrooms (babies to teenagers), but toys, craft supplies and storage solutions. It is worth joining the ‘Ikea Family’ scheme to get discounts on certain products.
The restaurant offers child-size portions and there is a small play area in the restaurant itself, as well as a larger stay-and-play area where you can leave children to play downstairs. If you are visiting with toddlers and babies, you will be pleased to know that their are bathrooms for parents that have change tables, feeding chairs and potties.

Best place to spend a few hours with little kids when the weather is not inclined to allow you out of doors.
Nice place to go with kids, you can leave them for 1 or 2 hours in the playground, while you are shopping. A good and cheap place to eat with kids as well.
Good value baby and children’s furniture, bedding and toys section. From my experience it is quieter and therefore easier to go with kids during the week as the weekends are busy. I just wish they sold even more toys e.g. Wooden dolls houses!
